Browse Database
To access this dialog:
-
Using the Home ribbon, select Database | Browse.
The Browse Database task is used to analyze the contents of your active Studio Survey database.
Select one or more filter options to list only database files that match those criteria. For example, you could select to view all surveyed pit surfaces for a particular pit/area combination where the survey was performed between two inclusive dates.
Once a list of files have been presented, you can then preview data or load it into the 3D window for further visual inspection.
Filtering the Database View
If all filtering options are disabled, the Filtered Data list will show every file in your database.
By enabling options, the list becomes progressively more filtered until a point where no files are listed, meaning no data in your database matches the filter criteria specified.
The Filtered Data list is automatically updated as filter options are modified; there is no need to apply changes.
Filter options are reinstated from the previous dialog session.
Field Details:
The Browse Database panel contains the following fields:
Filters: choose from one or more of the following. Data listed further below must pass all specified filters.
Pit/Area/Rom: select location filters for open pit database contents.
Decline/Area/Level/Stope: select location filters for underground database contents.
Data Type: pick from a list of recognized data types. This list will show the same Data Type options as offered on the Add to Database panel. Both open pit and underground data types are listed.
File Type: select any supported file extension to filter data. For example, selecting [*.txt] will filter the list below to show only text files with a ".txt" file extension.
Date: pick any two inclusive dates to list data with survey dates falling within that range.
Latest: show only the most recent data.
Where multiple entries exist for the same type of data, only the data with the latest survey date will be listed. For example, if you have a set of compliance reports, all produced at different dates and times, they are classed as the same type and only the latest will be listed.
Essentially, you will see the latest report or latest survey data, depending on what other options have been chosen.
This filter also works in combination with any Date range that may be set, i.e. only the newest data within the specified range will be listed.
Filtered Data: the list of file that pass the filters you have specified. You can select one or more listed files and use the Preview button to see a preview of the selection (in the InTouch GO application). You can also Load the selected file(s) into the 3D window for a more detailed inspection.
Preview Data: the "eye" button will be enabled if one or more rows are selected in the Filtered Data list.
Pressing it will either display the selected database item(s) in a File Explorer or File Previewer (e.g. Datamine InTouch GO), depending on what you have chosen on the Database Settings panel (Browse tab).
Load Data: enabled if one or more database item is selected in the Filtered Data list. Selecting this button will load all selected data into the primary 3D view (and any linked views).
